"Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital camera is awesome in terms of design and finishing but is still unmatched with Nikon CoolPix S10,Though it boasted a more generous 7.1 megapixels compared to its rival Nkon CoolPix S10 but its smaller than the later that causes inconvenient in h...andling.No doubt it is a tough camera that you can bring along to rugged mountain climbing but its weighty.The heaviness is to prevent vibration.Unlike with the rival Nikon has the VR(Vibration Reduction) and swivel body technology,this camera have not.But overall, the picture were good with 10x optical zoom and other add-on features"

"have used for about a month, a very nice and unique camera with large zoom capability to shoot sth. far away. definitly need a large capacity SD card to take advantage of the video function. my 1GB can only record about 4 min. the small screen looks very good also, Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital camera is a compact camera anyway.

"Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital camera / camcorder, to me, is quite unusual. It is a little bigger than a pack of playing cards, however, it packs a fairly impressive punch for a thing that size. It offers a 10x optical zoom; has a varied angle LCD screen (you know, one of them screens that you can turn around); face detection; 1080i component video output and more.

"Every now and again, a company will make a product just to turn some heads; sometimes this is called a statement piece. Usually these products sport unusual designs and fantastical feature sets. With its PowerShot TX1, which includes a 10x optical zoom lens, 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, optical image stabilization, face detection, and the capability to record high-definition 1,280x720-pixel video at 30 frames per second, Canon was definitely trying to make a statement. However, the camera's vertical design makes it so difficult to use, we wish they wouldn't have blurted it out so quickly. "

"Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital camera is a great all round camera, with great zoom and video.

Ive used it for 2 years, and im not a pro with reviewing camera spec, but i would definitely recommend it.

The one major problem is that the lense is easily broken, Ive had mine fixed before after getting a tiny bit of sand in it, its broken again atm as I cant get the lense to come back out and its displaying an error. Hence being on looking for a new camera :)

I would def recommend it but make sure you get insurance! The lens is likely to be have issue if you use Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital camera alot! "
