Canon PowerShot SD850 user reviews

"i've had the canon sd850 for about an yr now. The IS works great, the red eye reduction works almost 95% of the times, low-light performance is great too. Its got almost everything you would want from a point & shoot. I absolutely love this camera."

"This camera has almost always given me a perfect picture the first time. I haven't had a single bad experience with it yet, and it's traveled quite a bit (enough for it to have gotten much more scratches than it's gotten). One feature with canon cameras that I like, is that their batteries are swappable. I mean- not between all models, but this battery is common enough for me to be able to borrow one when I need it. As many of you know, just as you have that perfect shot, your battery's dead. Definitely deserves five stars- not only for it's actual hardware, but also for it's extremely easy to use interface. I'd recommend Canon PowerShot SD850 to anyone- it's worth it's bucks. "

"Am very impressed with the SD850. The person for whom I purchased the camera needed a camera that was versital but easy to use for carrying around and taking quick photos of friends and relatives. This camera beautifully serves that purpose. Would recommend it highly to anyone, even the accomplished photographer. I have several digital cameras, small Nikon that I use often when traveling, and a larger Nikon SLR. I would also be quite satisfied with a SD850 for most uses. "
"I've owned Canon PowerShot SD850 for two years now, and this is my second one of these. It is so good that I decided to buy the same one. I needed a new one b/c I dropped it while the lens was open. I had dropped it a couple of times before and it survived, so pretty sturdy camera. It works great, a lot of shooting options with the manual mode, it's a great SLR substitute for an active lifestyle---it's small and does a lot of the things an SLR does. It's so small and hard to get use to that, so be sure to keep it on your wrist! "

"Canon PowerShot SD850 is my 5th digital camera and I can honestly say that its by far the best. I also own a SD800IS - but this one has more cool features (like being able to zoom in movie mode!). EXCELLENT in low light -- I was able to take pictures in the Sistine Chapel in Rome on my last vacation without flash in a dark room and the pictures are amazing. Great Camera! "
