Canon Digital IXUS 75 Digital camera user reviews

"I bought this camera as a replacement to an old camera which was the exactly the same. I love the friendliness of the user interface and the pictures which it takes are superb. The 3 inch screen offers easy capability to review your images and change settings. I would reccommend this product to anyone, of any age. "

"I bought this camera just before going on holiday to Cozumel, Mexico. I decided to get this particular camera due to the excellent reviews it had on Amazon, and I was very happy I did so. It took me a little while to get used to the functions, as I previously had a Kodak but wanted to upgrade. I didnt have time to look at the advanced manual as this is on a CD, but after a 10 hour plane journey, I felt I had mastered most of it! Just one thing to note - even though the battery has charge when you get it, I would advise charging it again, as there was not much life in it at first, but once fully charged it will last a whole day of snapping and video without getting anywhere near empty.
The large screen is great for viewing and you can alter colours (black and white, sepia etc) after taking the photos.
Overall, this is fantastic value for money and would definately recommend it. Also, I would buy a case as it does not come with one (I bought one from Amazon for £11 and it was perfect). "

"The price of this camera has hiked due to the excellent reviews.
I found it online at Dixons for £133 including Canon case, a 2 meg card and delivery. It arrived within 2 days of my order: bonza! "
"I started using this bad-boy last March, and I fully loved it. The image quality is superb, the controls are clever yet simple, and the design is very innovative and quite ahead of its time. I've had three compacts before this one; a samsung, and two kodaks, and they didn't compare in the slightest. The macro and digital macro modes are great fun and flawless in my eyes. The camera is very small and handy, and the 3" screen is gorgeous. I even dropped the camera by accident when I was on holiday and feared that might've been the end, but it's a sturdy wee thing and nothing was wrong with it. Just be careful with it at the beach though, I got some sand in the zoom of the lens and it was never quite the same again. Eventually the lens wouldn't contract any longer and I'm very sad to say I had to stop using it. So don't make the same mistake as me! The price of this camera now is a bargain so whether you're new to photography or have had some disappointments in the past, definitely give this camera a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed! "
"I brought the camera a couple of months ago ready for my holiday. I was very pleaseed with how easy it was to use and had a good play around with all the different functions, they really do make a difference so make sure you try them out. I have one small issue and maybe I just haven't read the full info on the camera but I can't see anywhere on the screen where it shows you the battery life left. Saying that it did last me for about 10 days (approx 115 pictures) but then just stopped with no warning. Still a very good buy and would recommend it to anyone else, everyone that has seen mine has commented on how nice it is and how well the photos have come out. I almost forgot to mention how great it is to have such a large screen, brilliant for looking back over your photos. I've included some in the photo gallery if anyone is interested in seeing the results. "
